National Memorial Arboretum

Post by xHelenS on 8/6/2013, 21:24

Anyone ever been? What were your thoughts?

Its not too far from me at all but i went for the first time today. There is a memorial to the Yangtze Incident which my Grandad was involved in so I have been wanting to go for years. I was truly touched by the place, theres a huge memorial to fallen police officers too which i walked all up and down. Wonderful place to go and reflect.

I'd also like to visit and pay my respects.

I'm sure it's near Lichfield in Staffordshire.

It is indeed, plenty of places to stop nearby if you are coming from afar. Well, well worth a visit.
